Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to SeenShot for Mac, seenshot.app, Share Link, and the API. Local Save on your disk is your file; these rules still apply if you later upload or publish that PNG.

1. You decide what is on the screenshot

SeenShot captures whatever is on the selected screen. That can include other people’s faces, messages, credentials, medical or financial data, or copyrighted UI. You must have a lawful basis to capture, store, and especially to publish that content. Do not publish a public Share Link of material you are not allowed to share.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

You may not use SeenShot to upload, store, or publish:

Child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors. We will remove it and may report it to the authorities.
Non-consensual intimate images.
Content that exploits, threatens, or incites violence against a person.
Malware, phishing kits, or instructions whose primary purpose is to attack systems you do not own.
Stolen credentials, credit-card dumps, or other data obtained by crime.
Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or trade secret when you do not have a license or a legal exception (fair use / quotation is your risk to assess).
Spam, bulk unsolicited advertising, or automated abuse of quota, sign-in, or share endpoints.
Anything that violates applicable US, EU, or Estonian criminal law.

3. Public links

A public Share URL is visible to anyone who has the link. Search engines or other people may find it. Unpublish or delete the shot in the product if you no longer want it public. We may take down a public PNG after a report or a lawful request.

4. Reports

Email abuse@seenshot.com with the public URL or public id and a short reason. Public share pages include Report, which opens a GitHub issue. We may delete the public object and keep a takedown row (public id, reason, time).
